Agh! 😒 I switched to the audiobook because, like, why not listen to the end of this while I wrap things tonight? Not only does that mythical women's prison in Savannah show back up, we get the narrator doing the WORST Southern accent ever. That hurt to listen to. I like the book overall, but that's memorable in a bad way.

I am enjoying this book, but DAMN could one author ever at least Google or maybe even visit Savannah, Georgia? I'm still mad at Tess Gerritsen over her fake Riverside Hospital (there are 3 historic general hospitals and a large mental facility) and now we get a fictional women's prison (the real prison is a men's transition center). I know this is a stupid pet peeve but it's my hometown. Do better.

I got a recommendation to go to this book and table Dust for the time being. So far, so good. This book isn't a drag. There's less of the melancholy remembrance thing... still a lot of hinting at back story, but not over the top. We have 2 mishandled cases: a tech guy involved with something classified and a murdered kid.
