So I´ve finished the second book. The germans are now occupying Rumania, and the british legation has moved to Athens. Now in the third book, they are trying to figure out if they can stay, since all the british are being sent to Cairo. I am loving this, and it keeps getting better. Always in the beginning of each book she gets a bit repetetive, explaining what happened in the last, which is kind of annoying.

Forget what I said about Yakimov! 😳

The novel is set in the second world war, and it is centered in the lives of british journalists, and different people living in Rumania. The relationships between the different characters is very absorbing, their insecurities, their way to get around the situation if being in the middle of a war and yet trying to live their lives. It´s pretty great stuff, a sort of soap opera but with depth.
