The gospel of the kingdom is that no one is beyond beatitude, because the rule of God from the heavens is available to all. Everyone can reach it and it can reach everyone. We respond to the beatitudes by living as if this were so, as it concerns ourselves and others.

Just a little love letter from God via Willard “…out of the eternal freshness of his perpetually
self-renewed being, the heavenly Father cherishes the earth and each human being upon it. The fondness, the endearment, the unstintingly affectionate regard of God toward all his creatures is the natural outflow of what he is to the core-which we vainly try to capture with our tired but indispensable old word love.”

So far so good!

Chapter one was all about kingdom stuff. Good stuff to learn about because it’s so ambiguous a lot of times when it’s talked about in churches. But the desire to rule and be a part of a kingdom is, Willard says, innately within us. And we’re all searching after being a part of this kingdom. He also brings up that there are other kingdoms in the world as well.
