I wasn't able to find the actual book I am reading on Good Reads but essentially I have 50 pages left so I just estimated. I just got to the part which talks about human pleasure and how that relates to becoming and being a philosopher. He says that human pleasure is almost viewed as sinful to true philosophers. I strongly disagree with this, I believe that philosophy is inherently linked to human life and experience

Okay, this reading session made SO much more sense to me than last week. Essentially Socrates makes the conclusion that every action has an equal opposite reaction and relates this to both mathematics and the though the mental state. He also dives into what I think is a conversation about inherent bias and how he possesses knowledge of what is equal before being taught or seeing the things in the situation.

I don't know how much I read actually but let me just say Socrates is making absolutely no sense. Maybe what he is saying is going straight over my head but from my understanding, he is saying that everything has its counterpart as being awake is to sleep and as life is to death and somehow this prooves the existence of souls??? I want to talk to someone about this who has read it as well.

Again, I am unsure what page I would be on in this translation but currently Socrates is talking about the pursuit of knowledge. I find this interesting because he says that no knowledge can be learned through the body. I think they are speaking of a specific type of knowledge, though I am unsure which type. As Phaedo takes place right before Socrates death I find it interesting the idea of knowledge after death.
