Jax added a status update
A little announcement to explain my absence on here: I'm recovering from a total knee replacement done 5 days ago. I had planned to do a lot of reading & streaming tv shows but turns out I'm too sleepy (in between exercises) to pay attention to anything I care about so I've mostly been watching reruns & junk. Everything has gone really well so far so hopefully things will be back to normal soon.

Jax Finally getting my reading mojo back! Making my way slowly but surely through Master of Restless Shadows: Book Two.

I've been almost pain-free since surgery, but never comfortable when sitting or laying. The leg was too stiff/tight and just strange feeling. I was too distracted to pay attention to anything. But after 2 weeks of exercises & stretches (& finally a good night's sleep after ditching the circulation pumps) I'm getting back to more normal.

Aussie54 Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Jax. I had a knee replacement 12 years ago, and remember living on pain killers for six weeks, and being pretty zonked out. But the outcome was worth it. Hope you're back in reading mode soon.

Jax Thanks everyone.

Aussie54 - My sister-in-law had one done many years ago too. Seems like methods have improved since then. Much less pain/pain meds involved. I had been afraid to do it for many years & have been pleasantly surprised in that regard, though recovery is still a bitch!
