Page 255-256 leads into more of a sociology term of reality, it was an amazing topic to think of ideally. “Is there a such thing as crime, or not?” Views by most socialist of this time was: “crime is a protest against the abnormality of the social set-up, that alone and nothing more, no other causes are admitted.” Which less into a topic I love bring up - Is there a such thing as a Victimless crime?➡️

While reading Part Three, I saw a pattern of different behaviors within Raskolnikov compared to what he was doing in Part Two. The conversation with his mother & sister bring up the women he murdered seems to lock him away from ever being able to intake in normally. Despite the last chapter where he was acknowledging the state of his crime, up until now where he understands the “punishment” in himself.

— ,that not only would he never have the chance to talk all he wanted, but that it was no longer possible for him to talk at all, with anyone, about anything, ever.

So I’m right at the part where Katerina Ivanovna’s husband passes away due to the accident. But up until this point I’ve found my favorite pages in Part two/chapter two. It starts on page 154 VI, I don’t want to give out too much however I thought the interaction between Raskolnikov and Zamyotov is incredibly interesting to me.

Stephy.Steph ⬅️“Hence directly that If society itself is normally set up, all Crimes will at once disappear, because there will be no reason for protest.” This whole page was basically saying that’s it’s in human nature to rebel and go against the good and bad of the historical living process, and that some case you can’t overlap the reasoning on human nature with logic alone.
