Honestly I really don't like this book as much as the last two. The only reason I'm reading this is so I can find out (without reading other reviews and on my own terms) who dies at the end. (Praying it's not Nicholas or Ellie).

I'm really not liking this book right now. The whole Matthew Bates thing was already done in the first book...and I don't wanna read about him at all. I wish the antagonist was someone new.

“And then they could move on with their lives…he and Nicky would reclaim their destiny.” Omg..............get over it. You've had the same goal for like what, almost 20 years now? HE WONT LOVE YOU! THE DELUSION IS SO STRONG WOW

Of course it's Matthew Bates. So predictable. Why is he even out of that asylum (mental hospital? Idk) he was put in? Surely Nicholas wouldn't let him roam free. That's a stupid move and so why would Nicholas do that. Maybe he wasn't informed that he was out, but that's kind of implausible, seeing as he has such a tight hold on him. This is getting ridiculous, I just hope there's a good explanation.

How the heck is it even Julian's fault that Nicholas did a background check? It may have seemed like he incited it, but seriously, I'm pretty sure Nicholas would've done it even if the guy sent out positive vibes and didn't cryptically speak on the phone.

Ugh, they're the stupid ones. Why send in a guy with criminal history, knowing that the all powerful Nicholas could discover it in a flash. And if they thought he couldn't, that Julian was covered, they deeply underestimated him. Which is contradicting, because they said to Julian themselves not to underestimate Nicholas.
