Even this edition (I haven't changed it to the correct one yet) has Mair AS A BLONDE, when she is described as having long, silky, DARK HAIR. Her brother, bespectacled, and Tar the dog, have been faithfully rendered. Each edition - BLONDE. Why do they insist on doing that?! Goodness knows that since the development (ha!) of hydrogen peroxide, there are ENOUGH blondes in the world! And most BLONDER than the naturals!
