The ending scene is quite sad...no one should experience this kind of betrayal.

And I suspect the author's message of this book is the fragility of relationship/friendship and how a certain group of young people can find nothing to rely on, they can find nothing to ground themselves.

The characters are still quite flat, there's barely any transition for one of the teenagers to change from a bullied nerd to a bulling villain who blackmails girl students to whore themselves for money.

The MC really is unlikable because he never stands up to defend himself or go against the bullies!

The murderer reveals himself, and he starts to tell why he killed the other teenager.

I really like how the author described Lily's fans chatting among themselves in online chattroom and how they talk about their idol Lily and her mysterious songs.

the book reads like a sequel to the movie.

I actually like how the fans describe Lily-Chou-Chou's music and lyrics.

The story opens with teenagers chatting on a discussion board which focuses on a mysterious singer named Lily-Chou-Chou, whom is being viewed by her fans as nothing less than a prophetess and a goddess.
