Really struggling with the author's corny turn of phrase. For example, main character Nina thinking to herself that she's acting like a "smitten kitten" and a bit "full on dot com". If I didn't know this author was Australian, I would seriously think it was an English author who was basing her dialect on having watched Neighbours and Home and Away.
