Almost gave up on page 10, after our whore heroine decribes how she uses wool soaked in honey as a contraceptive: "Her first love called her his honey pot. That thrilled her. If only he knew how true it was. She was a walking pot of honey, the golden sweetness seeping between her legs. When he lapped it from her sticky thighs, he fancied it was her own unique sweetness he tasted." Ewww. This may be a DNF.

OK, I kept going and so far there haven't been any other sticky sexual references! I'm enjoying it now but we'll see how it goes...

Misfit Thank goodness. Finally someone who isn't enthralled at this book.

Jenny Q It had been on my wishlist and hubby got it for me for Christmas. I liked Daughters of the Witching Hill, though it didn't send me. But since I own this one I hate to give up on it so soon, so I'm sticking it out for a little longer.

Misfit If I recall I read it for my *cardio book* and I can take a slower book. Everyone seems to go gaga after Sharrat, but she doesn't send me either. Not bad, just not for me.
