The idea of the woman being able to weave such beautiful tapestries because of her mental link with the spider was actually kind of sweet! It makes me wonder if spiders have gotten a bum rap all this time...

I'm pretty sure Laurel suspects that Fitz isn't really Lord Golden's servant by now...not only because she's so clever, but also because Fitz actually referred to Golden as "Fool" while she was in earshot! Fitz isn't quite as good as Inconspicuous Cat at avoiding suspicion...

I really starting to love Laurel the huntswoman! She's so strong, yet also so sweet! I know, I know, me falling for a kick-ass heroine...in equally shocking news, the sun is hot!

Hmmm...let's see, Fitz's bond with his wolf saves his life many times while the Prince's bond with his cat may have lead him directly into a trap...I guess we know where the author stands in the eternal battle between cats and dogs!

Okay, I was starting to nod off during the very sssslllloooowwww burn portion of this book, but now that the story is moving along nicely, I'm wide awake again! :D

Even though I've been enjoying Robin Hobb's prose, there's no denying the story itself has been stagnating! Fitz is just now embarking on his quest...after TEN CHAPTERS of him just staying in his cottage! So little was happening, I was having Blair Witch flashbacks...
