Thomas is motivated by his determination to stop Assistant Director Janson from conducting more trials. The trials are important to stop because to conduct them, Janson needs "munnies", which are extremely rare, yet valueable, to Thomas, the Gladers, and Group B.

In my series, Maze Runner, Chuck is an innocent. I know this because he is younger than the rest of the Gladers, he wants to go back to his parents, he is not interested in fighting WICKED, stays next to the older, more caring people, and can't read emotions.

The tone of my book, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, is humorous. Even though the whole book is about WICKED's deception and life-or-death situations, you can see the humor in the frivolous remarks left by the characters.
