We read this book halfway last night and will finish it tonight, my four year old was much more attentive than I expected and he asked me about "fiddle" music and I pulled up a YouTube video and we talked about what it might have been like at night on the Oregon trail. Tonight I will make corn bread and beans and ham for dinner in our own homage to pioneers.
