The Wedding Album, crappinghell what an extremely depressing but well written Alice in Wonderland...I'll finish it, though it probably won't end well.

Alright, more than a year's break, time to get back to this one.
Hoping to find more cyberpunky authors.

There was a time where I would have enjoyed this kind of artsy, minimalist experimenting. Living space vignettes is an intereseting enough idea; the execution boring.

Really liking Egan's writing style! Yeyuka might not be cyberpunk or even overtly sci-fi in nature, but the themes are there and the setting of Uganda is very interesting and refreshing.

How we got in town and out again was interesting. Another VR story and going a bit wild with the fantasy. I'm not convinced by the analphabetic, teen narrator being a good idea; it made the whole thing feel kind of amateurish. Themes of escapism from the dystopian reality are heavy again.

Red Sonja and Lessingham in Dream Land was a wild ride. Is all Cyberpunk this obsessed with sex? It was truly dystopian; the virtual scenes vivid and full of wonderful prose, the reality harsh, humiliating and dark. I'm currently having VR-therapy and man, this freaked me out. Not in the least because it could become true. What started and is centered around fantasy, turned out to be solid sci-fi.

The Bicycle Repairman was fun, a bit heavy on the jargon but a nice, contained story.
