Turtle and her mom are in the Great Depression. Her mom is trying to find a guy that will carry her and Turtle away into the sunset and solve all their problems. But the bad thing is that life can't always turn out the way you planned. Turtle and her mom are stuck sharing a house with strangers and having barely any food. It is hard to survive, but Turtle and her mom have to make the best of it.
