Just a small RL update:
I just got the sweetest little tiny 6 week old orange and white kitty! She's six weeks old, just weened. CUTENESS OVERLOAD! I haven't named her yet because she's been mostly napping so I don't know what fits yet. But, I can say for certain, my 3 year old tuxedo tabby IS NOT HAPPY about this sitch, AT ALL. Lord help me...lol! ^_^

SHE SO IS! And teeny-tiny. She looks like a little ball of cheeto dust covered cotton candy! :D

can't wait to hear what you've named her :D"
Thanks! I've been looking at greek goddess names, but I'm stumped so far. She needs to wake up and show me some of her personality, cause so far, Sleepy and Lazy are at the top of the list...lol! =)

Ugh, that's mean!
My Dad, who is NOT a cat person, said I should name her 'Damn it", so that when he calls her he'll get her name right. As usual, I'm choosing to ignore him!

You know I luhs ya, but I'm just gonna go ahead and take you out of the name suggestions pool right now...lol! ;)
So cute hon, good luck with the name.I named my male cat Storm, but my son and daughter started calling him Stormy because he acts like a true girl, even his features are very soft and adorable. The funny part is, if you call him Storm, he runs away because he think you are mad at him, so stormy it's :)

Thanks! I've been searching for unique name online, but still haven't found the right one for her yet. Ah well, the search continues.
Dandelion!
I had a kitty like this named Mrs Pimms. I still don't know why we named her that.

That's cute, but I'm thinking something like Athena or Genesis or something celestial. My first tuxedo tabby was named Cassiopeia (cass for short) after the constellation, and the one I have now is named Evangeline (or Evie), after the star in Disney's The Princess And The Frog.
How about Freya from Norse mythology (since me being a viking an all ;))?Quote from Wiki...
"Freyja (or Freya, Freja) is a goddess in Norse and Germanic Mythology. She was originally worshipped as a fertility goddess but in the Eddas she was often portrayed as a goddess of love, beauty and attraction. She was also associated with war, battle, death, wealth, magic and prophecies. Freyja was said to be the most beloved, honored, and renowned among goddesses. She is one of the most popular deities of Norse mythology. The day of the week, Friday, is named either after her , or after Odin's wife Frigg. Frigg and Freyja may be one and the same goddess."

Nanna is the goddess of joy and peace. Nanna is also the Norse goddess of the Moon.Sól (Old Norse "Sun"). She is the Sun personified.

Nanna is a 'no-go', cause that's what my niece called my Mom before she passed.
Sól is interesting, though. The kitty is a pale shade of orange, with white around her neck, eyes, and legs.
Kat Wants To Be A Glitter Pirate wrote: "In my defence I was 5 when I named the rabbit and 12 with my fur babies. Ah, who am I kidding. Age is no defence. I was clearly an idiot child."I wouldn't say idiot. More like 'creatively unique'! =)
Angela wrote: "Sól is interesting, though. The kitty is a pale shade of orange, with white around her neck, eyes, and legs."I don't know what the thing on top of the "o" signifies. I write "sol" in Norwegian, and it means sun. If it's "the sun", I say "sola". :) I pronounce it "sool", like you say fool/drool. :) Sunshine - solskinn, sunray - solstråle
Oh, so no accent mark on the "o"? Sola make me think of the human chick in the BDB series that hooks up with Assail.

In Norwegian we don't have the accent mark, no.
It may have been written with one in Norse? I don't know.
Or it could have been added to English to make the pronunciation like "oo" (fool - sol) so it wouldn't be "oh" (Oh-kay, Oh-ver), like "sohla". IFKWIM ;)
You're probably right, cause "Sohla" was how I was pronouncing it too. Hey, I learned something new today, thanks to you! =)
So, after all the extensive internet searching and suggestions from my GR friends, my kitten has been named. But NOT by me. See, what had happened was... ^_^
My niece, who is my heart, and also happens to be a "Heart Of Dixie" tv show fan, gave me the puppy-eyes and the boo-boo pout and asked if she could pleeeaaassseee name the new kitty. So, what was a
Thanks! I looked up the meaning and was surprised to find out it's actually a very pretty yellow flower, of the aster variety, so...I'm good with it. =)

But in all seriousness... AWWWWW! I absolutely love cats and am jealous. :) I hope you post a picture!
