Abigail Frankenstein took me a long time to read. A major part of this is that I've had a hard time finding the time to read (or art or write) but it's also something of the style. Like Dracula it was very easy to put down and forget to pick up again, although I will say unlike other books where this is the case I instantly remembered where I was in the plot and what just happened without having to back up a few paragraphs or pages.

I highly recommend Frankenstein, especially as it is very different from the familiar movie and pop-culture version. Did you know that the monster talks? Indeed he speaks very eloquently. Victor is much more complicated than the "mad scientist" caricature he's often portrayed as. There was a lot to digest in this book and it highly deserves its status as a classic.

I would've given it a full 5 stars if it had hooked me enough to keep me reading late through the night or finishing within a month, instead of six.
