This novel has taken a sharp left. My mind is spinning right now. What the heck?

I don't understand--if you know your husband monitors everyone's comings and goings, wouldn't he most definitely have surveillance cameras in his garage where all the expensive cars are?

It's confusing when characters do something out of character

I am in awe of this character, and scared to death at the same time =/
