Reading this part makes me think that the soldier is going to be captured because he's knocked out because of the wound and the enemy could come and take him as a prisoner and could be treated badly and might even die because of his wound when he got shot during a gunfight between him and a sniper. Which he lost because he passed out because he’s losing a lot of blood.
