Reading these back to back rather than ages apart, its kinda funny how Jondalar immediately starts shit talking Ayla's dog and suggesting things like leaving him behind at a river, or saying how he's useless. Like, as soon as Ayla agrees to date/marry him, he takes her away from her family and starts a rift between him and her dog. That's abuser handbook shit.
