Notes:
(1) You might be thinking, why in the world I would waste my time reading "Convergence"? After all, isn't it the most trash DC event ever?
- Firstly, if you've paid any attention to my feed, you'll know I willingly read trash all the time.
- Secondly, I've got need-to-know disease, I'm a completist, and this has the first appearance of Jon Kent, the current Superman.

Notes:
(1) I'd say 5 out of the 9 issues here are predominantly double-page spreads, and the last 3 consecutive are nearly all that.
- It explains the 60-page disparity between physical and digital editions, since a double-pager counts as one file and, hence, one page digitally.
- It's nice artistically, but indicative of gratuitous action camouflaging the absence of story.

Notes:
(1) Just when I begin to think this isn't so bad, it really makes an effort to prove otherwise.
(2) Usually, in big events like these, you follow at least one familiar character. But here, the characters are all either from "Earth 2" or late-70s era "Warlord."
- I don't care about anyone.
- Morrison/Tomasi "Batman and Robin" villains show up, so I at least know them.

Notes:
(1) The second issue features characters from "Injustice" and "Earth 2," and seemingly comes hard on the heels of both "Earth 2: World's End" and "Futures End."
- Yeah, I read none of those series and, while I'd have gained a better appreciation of what's happening here, perhaps it's a blessing in disguise. I'm already two years late on finishing the New 52 as it is.

I have had this one on my shelf since publication. I really should get to it so I can say I read it and move on. ;)

I also willingly and love to read trash all the time. Like are you really reading if you don’t roll your eyes to the back of your skull at least a couple of times a year?

Plus all the trash books give you perspective on all the other books you read. They broaden the scope of assessment, give you more points of comparison, and generally make you a better reviewer 😉👍
