Marcus finally cracked under all the pressure his alter who had brought to his life and decided to tell his parents who he really was. His dad is outraged, not so much at Marcus as he was about how he felt his government had betrayed him, an how he had let them. He decides they need to go to an old friend of his for help, but first they have to tell Daryl's dad what really happened to him

After request upon request from big News program after big News program, Marcus agrees to hold an anonymous "press conference" over the Xnet as his alter ego M1k3y. It went great, he seemed to have gotten a lot of people who might not have supported the "Little Brothers" movement to see it from a new perspective, at least until the next day when his quotes were unsurprisingly twisted and used against him.

Marcus's return to school is started off with a debate between the class, but is really just an excuse for him to go one on one with a student who very openly hates and disagrees with the rebellious type of teens Marcus is associated with, and secretly is himself. This sparks a heated yet still somewhat structured argument that the teacher later applauds Marcus for. However the next day that teacher has been replaced

Marcus has made a lot of progress in his social life, and in his political rebellion since my last update. He an Jolu had the idea to have a gathering of teens fighting for the same cause in an effort to exchange information that essentially lead to a "secret language" between them. During this meeting however, Marcus met a girl, Ange, who very quickly after becomes Marcus's girlfriend.

Marcus's rebellious acts against the govts. decisions to increase security by invading the privacy of San Francisco's citizens was going pretty much how he had planned. He basically discovered a way to make practically every citizen a potential threat, meaning the city's security would have a lot more busy work. This has caused much more chaos then he had planned however, and I think Marcus is starting to regret it

I'm starting to discover that Marcus (the main character and narrator) is as good at teaching and walking the reader through new concepts, as he is at telling a captivating story, while not sounding like to much of a "smart guy" at the same time. I just finished reading his explanation of "the paradox of the false positive" and it was really interesting.

Marcus's parents surprisingly made him return to school the day after he returned from the traumatizing events he had just experienced with the government. There, he was greeted like a rock star, by his peers and teachers. He realized the classrooms had cameras installed in them, which angered him enough to have an argument with another student that led to a discussion about the goals of terrorists.

Marcus came up with a fake story to explain to his parents why he had been gone for give days straight. He said he had been held in Oakland and had shipped back home. He said the reason Darryl wasn't with him was because he told everyone he would take the BART home. But apparently the BART had been bombed, and now Marcus's lie had his parents questioning weather or not Darryl was dead.

Marcus and his friends have escaped from wherever they were being held before, but now they need to figure out what to do next. Marcus try's to by some time by telling his friends not to tell their parents, because he feels no one will believe their story if they don't present it in dramatic fashion. I can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Marcus was basically held prisoner by a team of people who he later found out worked for the government, and his pride and attitude he gave them made his time with them much less pleasant then it was for his friends. However, once he finally realizes his best chance of freedom is to cooperate, he is released. At first he is exited to see that all of his friends have also been released, until they notice Darryl isn't.
