This was an amazing, powerful read. Les Payne was a brilliant writer and investigative journalist. The book examines what we think we know about Malcolm X and amplifies it. Les digs deep into the Autobiography of Malcolm X and brings in new voices, including those of Malcolm's siblings. This was a satisfying and enlightening read. May Les Payne rest in peace on the laurels of the best work of his career.
