So much men-as-comrades, women-as-experiences. No camaraderie with women. They're either there to lust after or be amused by. Though the author doesn't physically assault women, he sees nothing wrong when his new friends do. This makes the read far less enjoyable to me.

I need to read this more regularly. It's so good. The writing is beautiful.
