In this essay I read Makhno talked about how human nature has an engrained instinct to pursue complete freedom and equality and says that the state is one of the main obstacles to that along with capitalism. He gives a strong critique of the Bolsheviks who he calls hypocrites. As an anarchist I'm well of aware of Makhno and hold him up as an anarchist hero and his commentary while reading this book is intriguing.

Today I read a few short essays written by anarchist revolutionary Nestor Makhno. His writings of what I read today wee very simple and easy to understand since he came from a peasant background. From what I read today his short essays were stressing the importance for any anarchist revolutionary movement to be well organized and disciplined to avoid being squashed. I coundn't agree more.
