I like how this is organised by various female archetypes / stereotypes and it’s doing a good job of showing how those types carry weight across each step and space of the justice system.

After I finish I’ll go back to listen to the chapter titles again to see if I remember the salient principles that were presented. This is a hugely important book and I want to do it justice by ensuring my understanding as much as possible. It’s very eloquently written but an audiobook can take a bit more effort from the reader in my experience.

It sometimes feels like certain sections contradict each other (eg the role of the absent father) but it all comes down to context, a principle that is emphasised in each chapter.

Feels like the book that connects invisible women to the secret barrister and can be read as a good companion to either.
