At this point in the book most of the mysteries and confusing parts are starting to be cleared up. I found out that the renter is actually Oskar's grandfather which makes a lot of sense. It explains a lot of the book and the flashbacks in the grandfather's life.

As the book continues on it keeps clearing things up but it also keeps creating more mysteries. I like Oskar's perspective and how the author really makes it sound like a little kid talking; he's really curious about the world.

The book is still pretty confusing, although some things have been cleared up. I know that the person who could not speak was Oskar's grandfather, but there are still many things that have not been revealed yet. I'm hoping that at the end it will all begin to make sense.

I have gotten farther into the book and the story is developing a little more. It is still a little bit confusing though, but I think that's the point. I want to keep reading to find out more about the mystery.

I like this book so far. I like the author's style of writing, it is very artistic and he uses a lot of figurative language instead of just stating everything explicitly.
