I don't know when I became so cynical in regards of love, but I find myself annoyed by anything in romance novels nowadays.. like in this book... who gets married on Christmas Eve? Or.. who falls in love with someone so desperately that they imagine their wedding and see themselves still holding hands at 80 - AFTER THEY JUST MET 5 MIN AGO?? What if the guy's an ashole? Maybe talk to him for a sec first, jeez

Same. I feel I read so many romance books last year that I can't stand them anymore 😂 they're just so annoying sometimes. I get that you're supposed to escape your everyday life or whatever, but just give me something plausible and less cringey, you know? 🥴
