this book was about a boy and his family living on the plais of mongolia around 1200.his father is the khan(leader of tribe)and he could potentially inharit the positon later in his life.when his father is killed and a family friend betrays him, his mother, 4 brothers, infant sister and himself are left to die.this is the story of the great genghis khans youth and rise to power.
