From the interwar period, Guderian was a big believer in armored forces to punch into the rear of the enemy with motorized and panzer forces. In this section, we are starting to see a more depth thinking of the operations during WWII. Furthermore, it was starting to be clear of the bias between the many books that I have that puts many of the negativity and blame on each other highlighting almost a hidden disarray of the Third Reich.

Germany has to plunder itself into a huge war in which it may be difficult to win. In this section of the book, we are shown Heinz's many reactions to what happens during german operations, both on-field and in its high command showing us the many intricacies of the OKH, the OKW, and the Wehrrmacht as a whole.

The German Reich kept down for so long has finally decided to act. Though trouble is slowly brewing in the high command about many of each other's decisions and beliefs; it is still very functional. We also see the emergence of Heinz's panzer force which had devastated Poland proving to Hitler about the functionality of these metal beasts.
