HOLY SHIT. That gave me actual shivers. Hoooooly shit.

There's a surprising undercurrent of suspense, considering the reader already knows the outcome; there been just the perfect amount left as mystery. I'm impressed.

"He was familiar with the tectonics of cantilevered mammary-gland support devices by now-"

"There was always an element of melancholy involved in sex. After his indiscriminate adolescence he'd preferred sad women, delicate and breakable, women who's been messed up and who needed him.
