I'm really not sure why this author advertises her books as rom-coms and then has discussions of childhood sexual assault without content warnings. I do think the conversation is necessary, but it's such a whiplash in this type of book, especially without warnings.
On a more superficial level: idk if I believe this author has lived in Houston in the last 15 years.
