"A system such as that just outlined (removing the gold standard and floating the US dollar) would solve the balance of payments problem once and for all." As best I can see the dollar is floating and the US has a balance of payments deficit of $400 Billion.

Oh no this one is criticizing economics and cant even differentiate between a balance of payment deficit and a current account deficit (exaggerated by himself)
