The real suspense is that I don’t know what percentage the end happens at, since a chunk of the end is actually footnotes.

It’s gotten much more poetic.

I love how the translators don’t leave a note to explain that the 6-year-old “on the stove” is not sitting on a cooktop, but the Russian hearth-type stove thingies. Lmao

I had a dream that I finished the book at 60% and that the footnotes made up the remaining 40%. This is not the case.

I looove my Kobo, but for some reason, it’s really hard to get it to register when I’ve clicked/selected a superscripted number corresponding to a footnote in the last section of this edition!

Also, what kind of dweeb has one wife, one woman in his life ever, has a bad experience with her, and then goes around telling people his vice is women? A dweeb in this book lmao
