As humans Tesla showed us in a quote that science had made us masters of the natural world even before we can gain ownership of our own selves."Science has made us gods even before we are worthy of being men.(368)" When they say gods, they mean us exhibiting dominance over the natural world so fast that we as humans have to catch up with ourselves. This shows that science made us beyond what we can make of ourselves.

Tesla tells us that in order for society to improve we must help the poor and allow the poor to help us."In tomorrow's society, the rich gets richer and poor gets poorer. The poor gets more humble and the rich gets more arrogant.(427)" What Tesla means is that in the most ideal world we are all well off financially and in character. In order to achieve that we must merge two highly segregated groups into one society.

Tesla teaches us that we should not fear science because if we would understand our fear it wouldn't exist. “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.(294)" This means that fear is the accumulation of concepts we don't understand; we would be without fear if we understand what we are fearing through science. We have to fear fear itself.

Tesla states that the quality and the valuer of a man is determined by his failures instead of a success. "If you were to judge a man by his success, you are only judging what he envisions of himself if failure is not present.(257)" By this Tesla clearly states that success seduces minds into arrogance, when failure inspires effort and hard work. Those who never fail had never tried to aim to succeed in their lives.

Nikola Tesla believes if one were to be successful in what he does, he must devote everything into it. "I do not think you can name many great inventions that have been made by married men.(196)" What Tesla means by this is that married men lack total dedication because of other priorities. Therefore as Tesla states, the greatest male inventors are those not married solely because they are more devoted inventors.

Tesla deeply believes that a scientist's ability to think clearly is more essential to a scientist's ability to think deeply. "The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane.(116)" As you can see if one were to think deeply but without clarity, it is much better to think simply, but vividly visualize what you are thinking of.
