At the very end of the book when Juliet wakes up in her tomb, she sees Romeo dead, and she kills herself. When the Capulet's and Montague's see this tragedy they both decide on ending the feud and to create golden statues of Romeo and Juliet.
Romeo and Juliet's tragic suicide finally makes their families realize that they shouldn't be fighting.
