It's fun to delve into the origins of one of my favorite authors. To try and see where the rest of the books in Brandon Sanderson's universe trace their heritage back to this original novel. And even for his first entry, it is a remarkably complete and pleasing one. Even now, I would heartily recommend this novel, as well as any others by the author to just about anyone.
