Is it still the cousin thing?

I think this is one of her more polarized books. People either love it or they hate it.

See now why I said I would have hated the book if it had been written by anyone else? I got sucked in despite myself.

The cousin thing and the daddy thing! Unless I read it wrong, was banging her daddy,too.

Yeah, I see exactly what you mean. Maybe I should have fell more in love with LH before I read this one. :) But I'm gonna keep going for now. Maybe after the excitement starts, I'll be able to get the Deliverance with money aspect out of my head.

You didn't read it wrong. You'll see why that squicky plot point is so important later though. Dun dun dun dun!

If you don't like it, don't sweat it. There are plenty more Linda Howards out there that you'll probably love. Most of them aren't usually so...different. :P

I think maybe when I get into the heart of the story and there is something else going on, I'll like it better. It's happened before. I've picked up books I thought I was going to hate, but after I kept going, it got a lot better for me. :)
