This is really dry. Chapters were nothing happens. It probably should've been a novella, instead of a full length novel. It's just not for me. I am abandoning it.

It could just be me and my reading tastes. I gave it my best shot, however. His short stories (Benlian and The Beconing Fair One) are very good, though. I should read the rest of his collection Widdershins on Project Gutenberg. I might like that better.

Too bad. I hate abandoning a book but there are too many I want to read and too little time left.
