This book talks about a boy who lives with his grandfather. His name is Thomas or Tom. His parent were on a vacation but there was a tragedy. The ship somehow disappeared without a trace in a part of the ocean the Japanese call "The Devil's Sea". All 35 passengers and 9 crew members were lost at sea with nothing there in the sea.He has been with his grandfather ever since.This is what's been going on so far.
