Greg's mom told evryone that she was going to go back to school because she is tired of doing nothing. She wasn't going to be home some nights so they had to take care of themselves. Rodrick tried to cook roast beef but he left the plastic wrap on the meat and it was shiny.

Greg's new math teacher isn't happy with her class because they stink. Everyone in her class has gym right before her class. She told the principal about the problem and now they have to shower after gym class. Greg didn't want to do it so he just wet his hair to make it look like he showered.

Greg had a chance to be on his local new channel when he was younger. Rowley and him both tried out for it but two little kids got to be on it instead. Greg starts to relize the older he gets, the less he is the star of the family. His brother Manny is the center of attention for everything now since he is the youngest.

The problem Greg has with trying out for the new spokesperson is his dad hates the ice cream commercials. He always writes the company a email about how the commercials get on his nerves. Greg tells his mom about the new spokesperson for the ice cream and she thought it was a great idea. Another problem Greg faces was she thought he was talking about Manny.

Greg remembers the time Rowley's mom got Rowley new shoes with laces and everytime they came untied, Greg had to tie them. Greg saw an advertisment on a ice cream company needing a spokesperson. Greg thought he would be a great person for it because he loved ice cream and the acting was easy.

Greg was happy he got one of the cool kids math book. He thought he would be reconized by everyone, but that didn't happen. Greg was kind of upset when he would go online and see everyone posting picture of them and their friends having fun. He decided to photoshop himself into pictures to make it seem like his life was intresting.

Greg is having trouble finding friends after Rowley and him had a fight. He sees Rowley in the yard with some kid named Brain.
