A wonderful novel and setting. I hope Kate Milford returns to Milton and the Pines in present day, after her historical fiction sojourns. I prefer modern day, which is not en vogue at the moment.

Good fun, mystery, and paranormal escapades. One of my other favourite things about this series is the pair of children being taken seriously by adults as investigators of what is awry on their home turf. They proved their mettle with the last mysteries the previous year.

Zooming along and loving the humour as well as the slowly unfolding stories. Measured pacing works well because Kate Milford excels at storytelling, creating memorable colourful characters, realistic emotions, hilarity that is absolutely bonkers, and the perfect atmosphere of intrigue too. I love suspense without horror and these are my kind of mysteries.

Welcome back, Greenglass House! Are they in Canada or some isolated, intricate turf? The referred to American currency as foreign. That is an interesting little mystery for me to solve. This is a thrillingly thick novel promising a lot of adventure and delight for hours ahead! Woo hoo!
