I haven't been spending much time drawing parallels between this and Arthur, TBH, because I'm just enjoying it so deeply on its own!

That's fair! I haven't been thinking too much about the Arthurian source material either because this series really is so much fun just on its own ;) But I had to suffer through "Gawain and the Green Knight" in my college British lit class, so when the mountain man showed up I was like "HA, I guess we know who Gawain is now..."

Gotcha. I don't hate him at all. My reaction to him was basically, "Well, you're weird, sir. Been living alone a little too long, have you?"
