The advice about seeking a spouse by going to a church for its singles group (rather than, say, frequenting bars) may be practical, but it sure seems dirty.

Ch 3 tries to dislodge the thinking about financial success being related to academic achievement, and does a pretty good job of it. Similar to The Talent Code in pointing out how hard work/effort is generally more important than genetic gifts.

Discipline is considered by the wealthy to be more important than academic achievement...and they should know. Getting along with people was the most important characteristic for most of them.
