Still here, on this same page. I'm really, intensely interested in this period of American history, and for research, but I can't bring myself to start up again. Gah.

Jeeesus this is a long book. In the first quarter of the book so far, there hasn't been but what, six actual pages about Slade? Lots and lots of setting the stage. I hope they just get TO it already.
