I'm glad we didn't have to go too long before hearing more about the accident. With detached yet detailed writing Ms. Tartt describes the scene and the disorientation of those involved in it. As new characters are being added, I believe them--they are realistically drawn. I have no reason to "leave" the book (fact or vocabulary checks are unnecessary, thank you). I'm in!
