The tower was hit and they are currently climbing up the stairs into the smoke. They eventually gave up and went back down before the tower collapsed and watched in horror when it crumbled.

They had found a place In New York and have been jumping from place to place and it's the day before 9/11

The first plane just hit the north tower and they rushed inside to save people in the staircase

It's a book that has 2 stories in it. from different people, different places, but the time is the same. I really enjoy one of the stories but don't like the other because it's hard to follow along.

there are 2 separate stories in the book on is about a girl named Dawn and she is escaping to new york from san fransico and the other story is in Afghanistan about 2 brothers. they both are taking place around the time of 9/11. It doesn't say anything about it in the book but by using foreshadowing I can tell with saying the date, traveling to new york and someone in Afghanistan
