the war has begun and we begin to see a more interesting side to achillies. yes we can see why he is called the aristos achaion but also the deeper connection he has to the war because of thetis. patroclus’ duties to the war also shift where he starts as a soldier and stands by his oath but realises he is better suited in the surgeons tent.

chapter 21 done and weve just been introduced to briesis. i love her character so far. i think patroclus and her are so good for each other in the most platonic way

just finished the rest of chapter 16 and all of 17. feels good to finally be able to get back into the swing of reading. plot update: achillies and co have left for troy but have stopped on an island to meet the rest of the army led by agamemmnon and meneleus to find helen.

achillies and patroclus have arrived once again to phithia to go back to the war and patroclus is feeling sad that he is losing his best friend and lover to the war. he doesnt want him to go and to he honest neither do i. their chemistry and for each other is like no other.

im back on my reading grind as i should and so much has happened. so ive read chapters 12 and 13 and theres been a arc in the storyline that i didnt expect. so achillies is supposed to go and fight for helen in war and bring her back to menalaus and agamemmon but thetis does want to so she sends him away to scyros where HE HIDES AS A GIRL?!?! i mean talk about twist but it doesnt end there...

WOW. ok so i took a little break because i had a bit of a ‘readers block’ but its so good to be getting back into the swing of things. the passion and tension between patroclus and achillies is UNREAL and theyre blossoming into a beautiful couple already (it was steamy wink wink). book update; theyve left pelion because helen got snatched and P and A are torn between fighting for war and their love for each other
