Jayson
Jayson is on page 115 of 126

Issues #9-10:
(1) This was just a bunch of side stories, little to do with the big plot.
- The closest thing to an arc would be the two-parter at the end.
- You only see the main villain once, antagonists here aren't even villains, they're just mental cases.
(2) Something tells me Williamson didn't grow up religious.
- His preacher character sticks out as a one-note cliché.

Issues #6-7:
(1) This starts off with two standalone issues, the sort that you'd find in an anthology.
- A bit of a breather between the flow of blood and guts.
(2) From what I gather, the Bendis issue was an homage from a former pupil: from the issue of "Powers" where Bendis made Warren Ellis a character, to the very Bendis-y double-page spread dominated by speech bubbles.

Notes:
(1) It just occurred to me to me that Crane and Finch are both names of birds.
- I fully expect some bird joke upcoming.
- Now I understand why Warren keeps calling her Pretty Bird and Little Bird.
(2) In all-caps in the blurb, is that Brian Michael Bendis makes an appearance.
- Big-time writer, sure, but I doubt they're selling a ton of extra copies because of this.
